Goldstein Law Group has always seen itself as more than just a law firm or a business for that matter. Rather, GLG sees itself as a vital and active member of the community. Through donations and charitable works we strive to make South Florida a better place. That’s why we have aligned ourselves with a charitable organization that shares our perspective – Hispanic Unity of Florida. Hispanic Unity of Florida was founded 30 years ago by members of the community in order to ease the transition of nonnative persons into American culture. HUF is Broward County’s largest agency dedicated to the immigrant population. Hispanic Unity assists in not only assimilation to American culture, but also the building of a new life here in the United States. Hispanic Unity’s ongoing mission is “Empowering Hispanics and other members of the community to become self-sufficient and lead productive lives.” By offering 21 programs, in three languages, HUF has served the community, providing assistance where needed. Hispanic Unity served more than 20,000 clients in 2011 alone. However, as with any non-profit organization, these programs are costly and require the support of those in our community. In order to help raise necessary funds, Cheryl Goldstein (Frank’s wife), founded the Hispanic Unity Miniature Golf Tournament. This fun, family event will take place on November 3rd at All Golf at CB Smith Park in Pembroke Pines. Last year this event raised almost $20,000 to support the Unity 4 Kids and Unity 4 Teens programs. We hope to exceed this mark at our second annual tournament this year.
